Welcome to the YMS International Piano Competition! We are excited to invite pianists from around the world to showcase their talent and passion for music. This year, we offer both options of [in-person] and [online] competitions' application. 

Please review the following regulations and application details carefully before applying. 

We are very looking forward to seeing you at the winner's concert and awards ceremony in New York City, on December 15, 2024. 

The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities no older than 18 years old.

Age Categories:

• Young Stars (Ages 5-7): Focus on early musical development and expression.
• Young Talents (Ages 8-11): Emphasis on technical skill and interpretation.
• Teen Virtuosos (Ages 12-14): Advanced repertoire and performance skills.
• Young Professionals (Ages 15-18): High-level artistry and stage presence.

• Complete the online application form available on our website.
• Submit high-quality video recording links of your performance, please see the regulation page for the repertoire requirement.
• Provide a brief biography (up to 200 words) and a recent headshot photo.
• All award-winners will be announced on the website on December 10, 2024.
• The printed certificate and trophy will be only presented in the winners' concert and awards ceremony at YMS Concert Series Annual Closing Gala ($100). However, the digital certificate will be granted for winners who cannot participate the winner's concert.
